What Else We Know

A) My family's genealogy records show:

Only one Unabelle:
  1. Unabelle Grace TOMPKINS b. March 15, 1898 in East Tawas, Iosco, Michigan, d. April 2, 1947 in Renton, King, Washington, married May 12, 1923 in Seattle, King, Washington, Murray Alva Austin.

Unabelle and Murray Austin had at least one son, Robert G. AUSTIN, M.D., who in 1978 was of 208 Park Plaza Bldg., Longview, Washington.

Unabelle Tompkins's brother is named "Jim": James Cornelius TOMPKINS b. January 3, 1894 in Tawas City, Iosco, Michigan, d. May 25, 1968, married May 4, 1919 in East Tawas, Iosco, Michigan, Mary Campbell Mcwhinnie.

Unabelle and Jim Tompkins are the children of Nellie Georgia NORTH b. November 2, 1873 in Tawas City, Iosco, Michigan, d. October 13, 1943 in Seattle, King, Washington, married July 3, 1893 in Tawas City, Iosco, Michigan, David George TOMPKINS b. March 22, 1867, d. January 21, 1933 in Bellingham, Whatcomb, Washington.

Our Reasoning

Based on our genealogical records, we're fairly sure the girl marked with the "X" is Unabelle Grace TOMPKINS.

We know Unabelle had no sisters, thus the other girl could be Unabelle's cousin or a friend.

Comments

Unabelle's mother Nellie Georgia North is the sister of my great-grandmother Minnie Ann North (who married Charlie Hinton).

Kathryn Austin Hanna (once of Murray, Utah) may be a daughter or granddaughter of Unabelle's son Dr. Robert G. Austin. Kathryn has contributed some information to an Internet genealogy site, however her contact information is outdated.
