Whom We Suspect
This couple named as "Bert North and Wife" on original plate glass negative of photographer on an identical reprint purchased from the Iosco County Historical Museum.
We're 99% sure this is Albert Cornelius North and Louisa V. McAuliff.
Positive full name identification not yet received.

What Else We Know
A) According to:
The Huron Shores Genealogical Society, INDEX TO IOSCO COUNTY MARRIAGE RECORDS: 1867-91XX, (c/o Robert J Parks Public Library, 6010 N Skeel Ave, Oscoda MI 48750), "Electronic," Book 3 Page 81...
Albert C. North married October 23, 1897 in Tawas City, Iosco, Michigan, Louisa V. McAuliff.
B) IF:
If this photo is of Albert Cornelius North, b. 1874, and Louisa V. McAuliff, b. about 1872, they had at least one child whose photo was taken (probably between June and July of 1900) by A. G. Emery in East Tawas, Michigan. (check this site later for that photo's information)
Our Reasoning
Bert is the obvious nickname for Albert.
We have found records of just one marriage for Albert Cornelius North.
The North family lived in the vicinity of photographer A. G. Emery, who also took the 1893 wedding photo of Minnie Ann North and Charles Oliver Hinton and photographed several other members of the North and Hinton families.
Minnie's brother Albert would have been about 25 years old in 1899, which is approximately when this photo was taken. The named "Bert North" appears close to that age in this photo.
Comparing photos, the named "Bert North" bears a strong physical resemblance to Minnie Ann North. It also makes sense that Grandma Minnie would have a photo of her brother.

Comments
Albert Cornelius North is son of Cornelius North and Dorothy O. Oliver, and brother to Minnie Ann North, my great-grandmother.
We have no information on Louisa V. McAuliff other than the record of her marriage to Albert North, and welcome hearing from anyone who can enlighten us.
