About The Photos:

These photographs were among the possessions of my maternal grandparents, John Henry HINTON (born July 20, 1902 in Cashmere, Chelan, Washington, USA; died February 1, 1986 in San Diego, San Diego, California, USA) and Lula Bell EADS (born July 15, 1904 in Hardman, Morrow, Oregon, USA; died August 27, 1998 in Caldwell, Canyon, Idaho, USA), 4th daughter (of 5) born to Jeremiah Morris EADS and Nancy Jane MILLER..

Since the majority of Grandma Lula's ancestral photos (EADS, MILLER, and offshoot families) were in albums, it is most likely that this group of photographs Grandpa Johnny inherited from his parents, Charles Oliver HINTON (born July 18, 1868 in Ellenburg or Ellensburg, Clinton, New York, USA; died July 5, 1950 in Caldwell, Canyon, Idaho, USA) and Minnie Ann Oliver NORTH (born June 28, 1871 in Tawas City, Iosco, Michigan, USA; died October 24, 1911 in Bellingham, Whatcom, Washington, USA).

Although a couple of the photographic subjects are identified in writing on the photo back, and occasionally an X has been marked beside a specific individual, the persons in the pictures (with few exceptions) remain unidentified.

Several of these photographs appear to be from the mid to late 1800's. A few are from the early 19th Century, and a couple may be from the 1920's to 1940's.
